BDE II Extreme Networks for CDW at US-IL-Remote


"Identifies opportunities for business expansion in support of the customer sales strategy. Develops and maintains the business relationship by providing solutions for a defined account(s) in a product line, to achieve the identified strategy and business financial objectives

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert (SME) on assigned Vendor’s brand, technology solutions, program offerings, etc. for their assigned customers.
  • Responsible for the execution of the strategic customer growth plans and business relationships in an assigned account(s) by providing value-added solutions for their Vendor.
  • Delivers sales results for Tech Data by both organically growing business within their assigned large focus customers and in successfully closing material unsolicited sales proposals.
  • Identifies and creates opportunity demand for products, coordinating the supporting seminars, training and resource awareness to assigned customers that drives growth plan success in the targeted accounts
  • Performs analysis and reports results of various program impact for an identified customer(s) notifying the AM of success, issues, and future growth plan strategies
  • Maintains and drives trending knowledge of products, competitors, technology, and customers in the assigned supplier product market
  • Identifies and maintains field Vendor relationships

Job Level Specifications:

  • Expert knowledge of assigned Vendor’s product/service line and understanding of Tech Data’s strategic sales pillars and associated value offerings so that they are sold into the territory.
  • Typically works on a cross-section of large and/or prominent accounts with several changing variables and complexity.  The Vendor Field BDE II territory is vast in financial nature as to the company's impact/benefit (annual revenue, gross profit, and/or complexity dynamics).
  • Works with a moderate level of supervision and leadership support; based on prior field sales experience. Has considerable latitude in determining the best approach to sales and service tasks.
  • Maintains excellent rapport with existing clients and frequently interacts directly with new prospects to build a customer base and increase sales. Provides input to sales management.
  • Builds extensive relationships with their assigned Vendor, especially at the regional field sales to the field sales level. 
  • Actions impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work or meet customer expectations will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational sales goals and may cause long-term damage to client relationships.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years experience in sales
  • This experience includes extensive field sales experience, managing moderate to large clients and territories.


Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Possesses thorough knowledge of solutions and assigned products within their specific Vendor Brand.
  • Exhibits the ability to deliver strategic Vendor solutions and identify net-new partners for Tech Data in their specific Vendor brand.
  • Possesses established valuable relationships with crucial Vendor contacts within the brand
